Chrome doesn't respond to task swicher

For some reason, Chrome doesn't play nicely with the goomwwm task switcher. After selecting a chrome window, 4 times out of 5 it doesn't actually switch to chrome.

Is Chrome set to use system titles bars and borders (Settings > Appearance)?

Does that setting affect the behavior you're seeing, either way?

Holy moly - that makes a huge difference! I didn't even know that option existed! Thank you!

Switching now works 9 times out of 10. Acceptable.
