Unable to see most of lower menu bar in Gmail in Google Chrome on Debian 7 (64-bit)

The subject states the problem.

After installing the extension, and reloading Gmail, when initiating a new msg, the lower menu bar is mostly not visible. I had to trash the extension to get back to normal visibility..

I love the product so far, it just needs a few tweaks.
