Signing not working in mymail-crypt version 31

Open lohit61288 opened this issue 9 years ago • 8 comments

Hi ,

i am trying to sign my emails but getting the following error.

"Unable to find the private key for the given user. Have you inserted yours in the options page ?"

Please note that encryption/decryption is working fine. I have created the key pair from link "generate a new key" from the UI of the software. I am not sure why it is not able to read the private key since i am not importing keys but generating it from the software only?

Please suggest what could be wrong here.

I am also having the experience that with v31 I can encrypt, but cannot sign. Also, cannot "Encrypt and sign".

Same here. Signing fails in all cases. Any clues as to how to track this one down?

+1 for version 32. It worked for a few days but now on the same computer signing fails silently, but encryption still works.

Sorry for the delay on this.

@LittleMonkeyMojo @Krishath @ddombrowsky @WhiteVoidia @lohit61288 Can you tell me how you generated your keys? Are they generated by the extension or are they imported?

I have just pushed a fix for validating signatures in version 33, but that might be unrelated to the issues you are seeing.

In my car the key was imported. Generated via gpg. On May 9, 2015 11:18 AM, "Sean Colyer" [email protected] wrote:

Same here, imported key generated with gpg

Same here. Imported key generated with gnupg. Been able to encrypt but not sign the message.

Using:

  • Mymail-Crypt for Gmail™ v37
  • Google Chrome Version 61.0.3128.3 (Official Build) dev (64-bit)

EDITED:

Been able to encrypt but not sign the message.

Also, it's unable to decrypt a message. Saying: Mymail-Crypt for Gmail was unable to decrypt this message.
