.htaccess passwords

Is there a possiblity to allow .htaccess passwords? We do a lot of staging development with .htaccess passswords and it will be amazing to be able to browse that while doing development.

@sumandahal Thanks for opening this request! What would this look like? I haven't done .htaccess passwords but it is sort of similar to basic auth?
