I keep getting this error from any repository url.

The given url is a complete repository. Use 'git clone' to download the repository

This issue exist for me too.. Using Ubuntu 20.10 , linux kernal 5.10

This is not an issue with a specific platform. The application does not support downloading an entire repository. You can only download directories within a repository.
