Added some more features to this awesome library

Fixed some bugs now working fine on windows and linux, used pathlib library.

Thank you for your PR, I appreciate you putting time and effort into this. I am currently very busy so I wont be able to test everything and make sure things are running as they should be. Once I get some time in the future, I'll make sure I review this PR.

@lakhaniaayush One thing on it's use, I think proxies should have a default of None such that users' don't have to override it

Is a merge still planned? It fixes the output_dir feature (discussed here) that I would like to use.
