Question about FAQ and use of AES CRT

Sorry for the question here, but I am reading the FAQ and get the impression that the current symmetic encryption scheme use AES CRT adding all the safety measures that will prevent risks due to malleability of such chyper (is there a signature method implemented upon SHA384).

But because my english is not very good, and the part of FAQ that talk about that is related to EtM_CTR (i am not sure if it's the default) I prefer to ask if what I have understood from FAQ is correct.
