Allow filtering existing titles out in discover filters

Open wajeht opened this issue 1 year ago • 4 comments

Description

I would like to be able to exclude existing titles.

Desired Behavior

When searching for new titles using filters, most of the time, the results are polluted with existing titles. It would be great if there was a way to exclude all the existing titles.

This sounds to me a bit like https://docs.overseerr.dev/using-overseerr/settings#hide-available-media If your "existing titles" are marked as available, and you have this setting activated, those wont show up in all the discover sites - but still in the search.

Ah, i missed that. thank you!

I still think it should also be accessible via filters too.

Should the 'Hide Available Media' in the filter slide over map directly to the user setting? Meaning when it's changed in the slide over it's saved in the user settings?

Or

Should it be a temporary filter?

My thoughts are that it should be a temp filter. The filters page shouldn't be where user settings can be changed.
