Support sending movie requests to multiple instances simultaneously

Open rcdailey opened this issue 2 years ago • 12 comments

Description

Allow movie requests to be added to 2 or more Radarr instances simultaneously. I dislike the "Request and then request again for 4k" workflow. I'd like to always have both together, and simultaneously.

Desired Behavior

  1. I set up multiple instances of Radarr in Overseerr settings.
  2. A new "Groups" setting is available that lets me group 2 or more Radarr instances together. These groups semantically act like normal, single instances of Radarr with regards to how requests are made.
  3. Find a movie and make a request. If I selected the "Group" as the default, then the request goes to the group, which causes that request to be replicated to the bundled instances using the per-instance settings defined in the group itself.

Additional Context

Current workaround: Set up Radarr1 as a list in Radarr2. And only have Overseerr add to Radarr1. Problem with this is the sync interval in Radarr for lists is too long. At minimum 6 hour wait for Radarr2 to get the request added indirectly.

upvote. seems a simple enough request but seems that no movement has been made.

I believe this feature may become redundant in the future; to my understanding radarr/sonarr may consider multi-version support for v6.x (radarr): https://github.com/Radarr/Radarr/issues/1910
