Pink Paper: Decentralized Publishing Platform
Team Name
Pink Paper
Project Description
Pink Paper is a decentralized and permissionless publishing platform for individuals and communities worldwide to express their opinions and share information with the rest of their communities. Pink Paper is a project aimed at creating a decentralized platform for content creation and monetization, powered by blockchain technology. The platform seeks to enable creators to earn rewards directly from their audience, without the need for intermediaries such as traditional social media platforms or advertising networks.
The project aims to achieve this by creating a decentralized publishing platform where creators can publish their digital content, such as articles, blogs, videos, and other forms of digital media, directly to their audience. The platform will use blockchain technology to facilitate secure and transparent transactions between creators and their supporters.
Additionally, Pink Paper seeks to create a social network for creators and their supporters, where users can interact with each other, share content, and support each other's work.
Problem / Solution
Problem:
-
Centralization of content distribution: Currently, most content creators rely on centralized platforms like social media networks or advertising networks to distribute their content. These intermediaries often take a significant portion of the revenue generated by creators, leaving them with little control over their work. Pink Paper aims to decentralize content distribution by providing a platform where creators can publish their content directly to their audience, without intermediaries.
-
Lack of transparency in revenue sharing: Many content creators are frustrated with the lack of transparency in revenue sharing on centralized platforms. They often have little insight into how their content is monetized or how much revenue they are receiving. Pink Paper seeks to address this problem by using blockchain technology to record all transactions on the platform, providing complete transparency in revenue sharing.
-
Inequitable distribution of rewards: In current content creation ecosystems, rewards are often distributed based on popularity or algorithms, which may not always be equitable. Pink Paper seeks to create a more equitable reward system
-
Censorship: There are increased attacks from big tech worldwide on free speech. Big Tech platforms are increasingly banning specific individuals and communities from their platforms. In these testing times for free speech, Pink Paper aspires to protect the ethos of free speech and freedom for communities who want to raise their voice.
Solution:
We will provide a free platform that will be available with zero censorship and there’s an increasing need for such a platform where users' data is being used to profit billions and at the same time deplatform them anytime the big tech wants.
