Project Description

ALTER Network started as a private messaging and file-sharing platform.

We intend to expand ALTER's platform by creating a privacy everything app but the first major step is to work on the adoption and innovation of the platform in Digital identity.

Problem / Solution

Adoption and access specifically for privacy-based products are not easy. To break the entry point, a new and much more user-friendly system must developed to get wider adoption, at the same time, allowing to expansion of multiple other services to be built around it.

Detailed product description

1. First private abstraction library to use Secret Network applications through existing passkey of users' existing device like computer/iOS/Android/etc and biometrics.
2. Adoption - expanding ALTERs platform availability to every privacy-based Layer-1/Layer-2 (primarily EVM) for integration and accessibility, while using Secret Network's smart contracts.
3. ALTER ID system - randomly generated 10-digit code that can be used to sign up at any website, providing an alternative to emails.
4. ALTER Pay - receive wallet-less private payments anywhere using the ALTER ID system, the first Secret Network, with expansion outside supporting all Cosmos ecosystem tokens.

Go-to-Market plan

By leveraging the abstraction library, current Secret Network applications, as well as ALTER, will significantly enhance user accessibility and streamline the onboarding process by adopting a wallet-free approach. This will enable seamless interactions with Secret Network while simultaneously opening up connections to other major L1/L2 privacy-focused communities, making it more welcoming for newcomers.

With ALTER Pay and ID system, any Web3 user can securely initiate payments for everyday transactions with other users, friends, or family members. The user-friendly library simplifies the process, ensuring a hassle-free experience.

Value capture for Secret Network ecosystem

The main KPIs for Secret Network is TVL (privacy value add to other blockchain ecosystems), number of transactions and number of user (for applications) Transaction count for ALTER Pay and ALTER ID.

User adoption and much easier accessibility to privacy solutions. KPI on how many users have been onboarded.

Development Roadmap

We will require 3 months to complete this project. We intend to have 2 developers full-time and 1 part-time, at a total cost of $50,000.

Milestones:

• Implement Abstraction (weeks 0 - 4).
• Implement ALTER ID System (weeks 4 - 8).
• Implement and Integrate 3 major privacy chains (weeks 8 - 12).
• Reach 5000 of users
• Reach 75 000 of on-chain TXs
• Reach $2000 amount of Fees/Revenue via ALTER Pay

Ideally, we can receive payments in 3 disbursements, one at the beginning of the grant, one after reaching mainnet and last payment when we reach the agreed-upon KPI milestones.
