setting wallpaper sonoma issue
not working.
This is really not an actionable issue. What am I supposed to do with this?
I am tempted to just close this and not waste any time. I hope you don't usually report issues and support incidents this way.
But for the sake of education:
- what exactly are you trying to do that is not working?
- which version of desktoppr and macOS are you running on?
- what were you expecting to happen?
- instead what happened?
- are there any circumstances that might be worth mentioning (i.e the context you are running this from, such as a post install script or running this as root from a management system?)
You're right. This a issue was a placeholder, because I didn't have time to fill it out when I had the issue but didn't want to forget.
I'm using macOS Sonoma. m-cli wallpaper command and osascript aren't working well either for me.
I bet there's an issue on my end.
Sorry for an empty ticket. I'm used to submitting bug reports for my own project of which I don't have time to give much thought into it.
So: MacOS 14.7 Desktoppr 0.5
This issue is just running Desktoppr /Users/__/Wallpaper/image.png
It could be any filepath or image it won't set for my display. But again, none of the other things are working so I'm not really sure of the issue.
I tried using both with and without quotes, renaming my file, marking it with more chmod permissions, runing as sudo, using complete filepath to desktoppr binary, etc. but I'm still having issues.
I also like to use nix to run the command as a postInstallScript using nix-darwin or home-manager.
honestly I'm sorry I don't know what's wrong on my end, closing
