In E/D - Cmd+N does nothing

Tried to use the standard keyboard shortcut to open a new file. Nothing happens.

Well, actually, sometimes the screen flashes, like another window is trying to open or something...

Holding down Command to activate the LandingCheatSheet does not show Cmd+N or Cmd+O as even being available...
