Bug: Glowpoint-emitted light behaving weirdly at different viewing ranges

Not sure if this is a modeling or table-related issue... I've been using untextured glowpoints to "emit light from glowmaps" via the Glowpoint overrides shp.tbl entry.

It seems to work pretty well (even if it can get a bit heavy on performance), but the emitted light seems to get dimmed at a specific viewing distance. This seems to happen mostly (if not exclusively) when the light covers a large area of the model.

@skdKitsune this behavior is similar to other light issues we've had that turned out to driver related, can you include information about your graphics card and current driver version?

I've got an RTX 2080ti and I'm on the GRD 566.36 (current). Probably worth noting that I first really noticed this back in September, so the issue persisted through driver updates.
