DNS domain name and Direct IP has different effect

Does the accessing to Scouter server from Scouter Client should be performed on IP address base only or can we use host-name too? Because When I connect by domain name it shows me only list of agent attached processes, but no detail measurements. If I use direct IP address then measurements are also shown ?

Is there any problem for using DNS name on Scouter Server ?

Our java agents use domain name for accessing scouter collector. Something wrong when you connect scouter if you register the domain onto the hosts file ?
