Fire Emblem ROM doesn't let me save past Chapter 08

Hello- not sure if this is the right place to post my issue.

I am playing Fire Emblem Blazing Swords on my laptop and when I finished Lyn's story I played a few chapters on Eliwood's story before closing the application (I am using Mednafen). I ended up running Ice again after to add in some new games and it added a duplicate version of Fire Emblem. Only one of them opened but I found that it didn't save my gameplay from when I was playing Eliwood's version.

So, how do I get the game to play past Lyn's part? If this is the wrong place to be posting this issue, can you direct me to the right place?

Hello - This sounds like it is an issue with the ROM and/or emulator you have downloaded. ICE is simply a shortcut to run your game and should not interfere with the problems you have described.
