Incase I'm using WS2812B and RP2, i must add the capacitor or its just a recommendation?
Its just a recommendation...it will work without a capacitor but its quiet risky, especially on a project with fast switching LED states and colors. Soon or later you will loose the first LEDs (or maybe the whole stripe) because of the initial onrush of current.
I LOOSE A FIRST LED. what capacitor i need or rezistance for not happaning again? ...i use NodeMCU
May i ask which Cap do i need to solder in front of the LED Strip ?
@mariangigabyte @thokis
I used this one - https://www.aliexpress.com/item/20PCS-25V-1000UF-Aluminum-electrolytic-capacitor-25-V-1000-UF-25V-1000UF-size-10-17mm/32725883192.html
You have to have 1000 microfarad the V should be bigger from your DC source, i have a 5V source (you should not use more than that to these leds) and 25V capacitor - in case more than 25V will pass thought the capacitor it might kill it
Thanks
This is a good overview of precautions for anyone reading this: https://learn.adafruit.com/adafruit-neopixel-uberguide/best-practices
