Culmus-latex package (for hebrew fonts and Nikud)

Open firubat opened this issue 7 years ago • 1 comments

Although the --hebrew option installs the culmus font package, and enables compiling Hebrew, it does not install the culmus-latex package which, as far as I understand it, is needed in order to use the entire variety of the culmus fonts, as well as the Nikud. I also did not manage to install it using tlmgr as it is not in the repository. The package has it's own installation process, but it failed when I tried it.

You can see the difference in the compilation of an example file provided in the culmus-latex package between a compilation with the package (on the left - texlive is installed in the usual Ubuntu way) and without it (on the right - texlive installed using install-tl) culmus compare

@urbat thank you very much for writing this issue up. I appreciate the time you spent (especially to create a Github account just to report this!), and that motivates me to spend time to fix this issue. I will look at this, but am not sure when I will have the time.

This was fixed a long time ago at 7d5d14b3.

I've successfully tested using the culmus fonts (although I'd appreciate any feedback from others).
