Hi Scott

Great work on this extension, 1 issue I have is that if i save a file using save2drive there is now preview for that file in Google Drive web view

  • this has happened for a image i uploaded - not sure if it affects other file formats

Cheers

Justin

Hey Justin,

Thank you for the feedback.

You are right, and I have realized this issue -- images saved with Save2Drive cannot be previewed in the Google Drive web app, and honestly I don't see a way to fix that for the time being... I suppose it can be fixed by using the Google Drive API, which does not currently support creating a file from a link :( I'll keep my eyes open for other solutions.

Meanwhile, I would like to mention that if you have a Google Drive client installed that syncs a local folder with your Drive, you are be able to preview the image (or do anything you like) in your local folder.

Cheers, Scott

thanks scott for the update

note if you copy/rename then move the uploaded file to another folder (using the gdrive client) the image becomes previewable

cheers

That's interesting! However when I tried the same action (copy/rename then move) on the web app nothing happens. I'll try doing it with the API when I have a chance.

Thanks! Scott
