decomposing smart stuff

what is your take on decomposing smart stuff like outlines and corners?

I didn't know about this project, that's why I bodged similar one for a font that needed we didn't manage to export at work. And also hoped it would replace our internal docker thing with all the commands to use fontmake by all the members of the team. It kind of already did, but the crucial step in the workflow was to remove smart stuff.

Can I contribute to this with the smart stuff removal step?
