Updating Codec and Quality will not work unless the codec is already selected in camera menu

Using BMPCC6K I have been trying to update the codec and quality for BRAW and ProRes. The command works perfectly if I already have the codec selected, but sending a command going from BRAW to ProRes does not update the selected codec on the camera. I have to update the codec manually and then the command ends up working.

Using 6.9.6 firmware BTW.

the same limitation exists also on the mobile apps so this might not be allowed by the camera
