Outside mode does nothing, inside mode makes firefox unusable

Open Question2 opened this issue 7 years ago • 4 comments

Testing this on firefox 52.01 64 bit.

Outside mode doesnt show the memory usage, ever. In the screenshot on the addon site, i can see that the memory usage shows up at the end of the tab, but I see nothing there...it might be because the end of the tab is hidden, because I have a lot of tabs and the tab titles are cut off.

For example, when i am typing this up, it looks like this :

firefox3

If i use the inside display mode, it works but firefox instantly slows to a massive crawl, and it doesnt seem to work on tabs that havent been loaded (which is most of them).

If i use the toolbar mode, it works but it can only display the memory usage for the active tab.

I need a way to look at all my tabs, and figure out which ones use the most memory so i can close them. Looking in each individual tab via toolbar mode is too slow, and inside mode slows firefox to a crawl and makes it unusable.

Is there any chance you can fix this please?

Glad you posted this bug about outside not working. Thought I had misconfigued something. Seem this is still an issue in FFox 54.0.1 on Wn7 w 0.2.7 of the extension. Someone else here reported its TabMix Plus that is the cause of the outside option not working. I have TMP installed but have not had the time to confirm if that is what is causing this problem.
