Short circuit popunder behavior open intended link in new tab
In chrome some sites use a form of popunder that when you click it opens up the url that you clicked on in a new tab and the current is redirected to on ad site.
Anyway to catch this behavior and instead of it opening in a new tab it open the url in the current tab?
I have have an NSFW example that this behavior can be reliably replicated on if you want it.
NSFW examples are kinda unavoidable when it comes to popup blocking. @schomery prefers you put them in a text file to prevent back linking to these websites.
For the same page redirects, have you tried enabling:
"Prevent page redirection for 2 seconds after a popup is requested"
It's not exactly perfect, but it's the best solution I've seen yet. Preventing same page redirects is not as straightforward as preventing popups.
@JonasNo please share a sample that follows @narcolepticinsomniac comment.
Was drunk at the time and can't find that damn link now. I know I saved it but don't know where. Sorry :( I'll probably stumble upon that site again.
