It would be nice if would have been an example of the use of or reference to an example

For now, you can just use the tests as examples; there are plenty.

It's true, I'd really like to see some typical scenarios, as from the tests it's pretty hard to figure out where to start from. Could that be possible? Your library is exactly what I've been looking for, and I'd like to use it in a large project. However, without any documentation, it will be pretty hard.
