Pomodoro sounds on W10

Hi When I set up the app on Brave browser, I can play the sounds for each event. However, when I'm out of the settings panel and working, the app does not produce any sounds. The desktop and tab notification also do not work at all. If I keep the settings tab open and carry on with other work, than the event sounds are heard e.g., end of timed period. The clock still works though. Also does not work on Chrome.
