Get remaining time outside chrome

Hello,

Is there a way to get the remaining time outside the web browser ? With something like curl someMarinaraApiUrl for example ?

Why ?

In order to be able to display marinara's data within other applications (e.g. in a terminal, in vim, in a status bar, etc.), and monitor the remaining time even when the browser is not in the foreground.
