Suggestion: Option to Hide C:\ULSTRASND Executables
Hello, This is just a quality-of-life improvement idea to have an option to hide the executables from the ULTRASND directory. I prefer to include the Gravis Ultrasound driver with all compatible games in my zip ROM files, and there are so many files there that I think 99% of players would never interact with.
Thank you for the great work, and have a great day!
That seems feasible, I can just hide C:\ULTRASND I guess. Is there anything in there of importance for using Ultrasound with DOSBox? For example I see a "SETUP.EXE"... Sorry I don't know too much about Ultrasound, I think I only ever tried it once years ago to confirm it working in DOSBox Pure :-)
The SETUP.EXE is used to configure the I/O addresses when a real physical Gravis Ultrasound hardware is detected in DOS. Since DOSBox manages the configuration of Gravis Ultrasound settings, these are not really needed. I use Gravis Ultrasound with many games, and all it requires is having the driver folder present and matching the I/O addresses in DOSBox to the game's audio settings, and it works flawlessly. No further configuration was required for any of the games I tried so far.
