Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2 (graphical glitches/freeze ingame)

I made THPS 2 to run on my Win98se installation Videos, Menues, 3d display of character work great but as soon as i enter a level i notice sound issues with the audio track and graphical artifacts.

After a minute(ish) the graphics freeze but the audio track keeps playing. (without sound issues) I guess this could be driver related but i have no idea how to workaround this yet.

Please if someone could look into this.
