My original suggestion was that Saving a file would put up the dialog that forces them to choose a name. That seems orthogonal to whether the dialog comes from "Save"...

I think the existing behavior is absolutely critical for Bootstrap. And given the increased focus on Bootstrap's userbase, can we be happy with the status quo and close this issue?...

JFYI - that link loads a completely blank page in Chrome, with no console logs. I see the React dataroot node in the web inspector, but it has no children.

It's worth considering, but almost certainly worthy of a design discussion. We've learned a lot and a _lot_ has changed in the last 4 years. :)
