In this case I would definitely opt for a (sub)domain if you could. That would be the simplest solution. I'll dabble with the base URL when I have time.
Both of these should be pretty easy to implement. The library for the image metadata is already there as well.
The "third party format" and "third party url" need to be in the preset, rather than in the settings. I'll edit this issue as an "enhancement".
I've added these two properties to the presets, but not the password.
