Better logging of how much each step tasks in `mbox.resync`

Initial cases of deleting multiple files indicates the resync may be a lot slower for the non-optimal (but still not worse case). Need to add metrics and logging to resync so we can see how long it takes under various circumstances and what parts are the most slow.
