The http service was fixed in merge https://github.com/scalameta/metals-eclipse/commit/ef22a69e06088c10d14afc9ac5af0486d66e10aa but was disable again in commit https://github.com/scalameta/metals-eclipse/commit/7b627b85bb4aa35b61e7a93b1dcd7347d4c2c29f

Thanks for reporting! We need to work a bit on the extension itself, but with the coming Scala 3 we haven't had enough time to take a look. I will try to work a bit on the extension early next year.
