Segment Area Perf and Overflow

When requesting the segment area for large segments, the request is very slow. Also we apparently got integer overflows on the server. Tested on l4dense_motta_et_al_demo

The requests for volume and bbox are faster. It would be nice if the results from those could already be displayed while area is still calculating, compare https://scm.slack.com/archives/C5AKLAV0B/p1761558943672899
