Package definition in source files

Each of the source file (i.e Vcs.scala) contains next package declaration:

package sbt release;

On the other hand files are located under next directory src/main/scala as a result some IDE's does not handle properly such situation and it is harder to create some custom solution based on sbt-release plugin. Could be possible to place those files under src/main/scala/sbtrelease direcotory in order to reflect package declaration?
