So your task in n8n is during like minutes then you have error openwebui because the task is too long?
I tested to add like a simple wait for 60 seconds before the answer and i have weird results, i dont know if it the same behavior in your side.
I did a simple test with subworkflow and no issue. 
@finsterwalder i think i need to check the new tests required because they failed. But it's not clear to me if maintainers are interested about this PR.
