"Dumb" HTTP(S) protocol mode

Does Simplegit support the "Dumb" HTTP(S) protocol mode?

With Synology NAS supporting Git over SSH and "Dumb" HTTP(S) (WebDAV), I'm having trouble cloning an repo over HTTPS (works with the real Git on Windows), and Simplegit complains about text/plain being an invalid content type. A quick glance at the libgit2 makes me think on "Smart" HTTP(S) mode is supported?
