What are prerequisites that an entry appear in the search bar

I have the issue that some entries of my bibtex file are not available in the search bar. I am curious what are the prerequisites have to be met so an entry appears in the search (like author, title, year, date)?

Ok, found the issue. The re-indexing has to be triggered manually. Any idea's how to make the re-indexing periodically?
