Custom highlight are not applied [Ubuntu GNOME 16.04]

I activate Custome highlight colors and choose a color, press Apply. But the custom color is not applied (even when I restart the system). The value org.gnome.desktop.interface gtk-color-scheme in dconf is set to selected_bg_color:#398ee7;selected_fg_color:#eeeeee; . Do you have any idea why setting the highlight colors does not work anymore in Ubuntu GNOME 16.04 while it worked in Ubuntu GNOME 15.10?

I just recognized that there are some applications that use the custom highlight color (e.g. Eclipse, LibreOffice). May it be that only GTK2-Applications respect this value? Is there a chance that your tool is going to be patched in a way that it works with all applications? Btw. I am using Numix as a theme. Does the theme have any impact on this?
