"not authorized" thumbnail (upload/edit)

Under PHP8 there's an "you are not authorised to view this image!" thumbnail during upload and edit (php7 works as expected), the link seems to be exactly the same under both php-versions and the upload itself seems to work correct. any idea about this? upload-phpbbgallery
