First time setup issues with PI 2 and L298N SainSmart Motor Driver

Open kassalkane opened this issue 10 years ago • 2 comments

I have read the PI 2 issue and have downloaded the code from https://Github.com/phueper/pi-blaster

My issues is that I cannot get my motors to activate with pi-blaster. I have confirmed with a simple python script and just using gpio commands that my cabling, motors and other components are working. The one thing Im not clear on is with the L298N and do I need to remove the ENA and ENB jumpers so I have tried it with and without them but still nothing. Can anyone tell if these should be left on or removed?

I have GPIO 4,17,22,23 connected to the L298N and these are configured as OUT.

Any ideas what my issue is?

I'm having the same issue. I'm trying to control my Pi2's GPIO's so I can run multiple L298N's. Unfortunately, I can't get the GPIO's to respond. I was using wiringPi, and even tried to control them with Python.

Can you provide more information? What is the problem? Which GPIO are connected? And which one do not respond?
