Description As developers we want to investigate the amount of work to allow sample manifests to support multiple studies so that CASM no longer need to provide multiple manifests for each study and SSRs no longer need to do fake cherrypicks. This would involve:

  • modifying the sample manifest so it no longer has to be linked to study. It seems that it is not a necessary link.
  • keeping the ability to select a study for the manifest
  • adding a column in the manifest to be able to change the study for individual samples
  • running any database and data migrations
  • ensuring that the sample manifest does not become unwieldy with a list of all studies
  • NOTE: How do we deal with sanger sample ids which have the study name in it?
