Number of conserved genes increases through genomoes

Dear all, I am quite confused with the conserved genes through genomes plot, as I expect the number of conserved genes to diminish with the appearence of more genomes. However, I see an increase in the end (attached plot). Which can be the reason for this? Thanks a lot
