Beam sideset in exodus
There have been no requests for this until today. It wouldn’t take too long to implement with side 1 being nodes 1 to 2 and side 2 being nodes 2 to 1. I think that the Ioss already does this since you could already store this in exodus, you just couldn’t get it to give you the nodes or node count…
I will add as an enhancement request on the SEACAS github site. You could have Joel Miller add a trac enhancement if you want to track it internally.

Greg, I don't think the exodus manual has a definition for a sideset on a beam. Is that supported? Is it in the works? -Garth
