extracting more information

Have you had any luck in trying to decode the rest of the file? I gave it a shot in python and was unable to get anything useful.

It would be cool to have access to the gameplay data as well. Currently working on a machine learning project with LOL data.

Hey Nick,

Sadly it's not something I've looked into. It would be pretty awesome to grab cool things such as the times of each kill, the CS at different points of the game and whatnot :)

If you make any progress in this I'd be really interested to hear about it.

Probably, you couldn't get it because of the rest of file contains streaming game data and to get some information about it you should know how the client react on that data and in what state. So to get more info we need a headless LoL client. Can somebody write it? ;-)

It doesn't seem like there's any documentation about the format online. You would need to reverse engineer it, if that info isn't in the JSON blob that this tool pulls.
