Batch import and description management
Batch import via the administrative dashboard allowing full definition of collections and works, including all metadata fields, in a batch operation. Hyku currently offers batch creation, but metadata must be manually entered and is shared across the batch (except for the work’s title)
Batch import and edit simplifies migration of small sets and new data set import. Required to be competitive with alternative repository solutions.

Fulcrum, the publishing platform based on Hyrax under development by Michigan, also has use cases for a friendly interface for managing description for items deposited as supplemental objects to a published work.
Indicated as a requirement for the Texas Digital Library Hyku pilot (February-July 2018) partners.
