Make sure the Noto Color Emoji font isn't installed. If you're using Ubuntu, try sudo apt uninstall fonts-noto-color-emoji
.
That smiley you see on Chromium is from that font
Im using fedora 32

can't find this file in ubuntu :/

on Ubuntu 22.04.

and setting the font.name-list.emoji
to Apple Color Emoji
makes these emojis work in FireFox (flatpak distribution) for me.
