Suddenly password not correct
I was still using the program then it times out and locked. After that it always said "wrong password". I am sure I didn't change the password. I've lost more than a month of entries... The version is 3.1.1
Problem solved. The file might have been corrupted, but thanks to Mini Diary's auto backup feature, I am able to recover to the earlier version and saved all my previous entries!!! However, the backup files are not easy to find, just wanna share with anyone who's in need: It's saved here for Windows:
C:\Users\ {User Name} \AppData\Roaming\Mini Diary\backups
You can then copy your file to another folder (your destination) and change the name to "mini-diary.txt" and now it should work with the Mini Diary program.
@samuelmeuli , I would suggest having auto backup files save in the same location as the diary file. Or have a guide of FAQ somewhere just in case. It took me some time to realize the program has the auto backup folder (a great feature not advertised 👍 ).

The issue is similar to #62 and #19. Did this happen after the app was updated?
It's not exactly the same, but I was more fortunate. The app had no error message, my OS didn't crash. I think the app was updated well before this problem occurred. I doubt it's the update in my case.
