Add setting for linear volume control

The volume doesn't match the video player volume. When metastream is 50%, the video player is around 10%. It happens on every site.
From the Discord in response to a similar question:
Sam - Aug 13 2019 metastream's volume slider uses exponential scaling instead of linear that way it's more accurate to the actual loudness humans hear
I see! But can we change this on settings to go either linear or exponential? It's annoying sometimes.
It would be helpful to know the website displaying the issue. If the volume slider never changes, it's possible the website player doesn't detect volume changes.
Most change but they're not linear and it gets annoying for quite a while.
I am a complete beginner to open source. Is this project still open? Can I work on this
