Ideally users would be able to upload/select a music file that is on their filesystem.

Current version doesn't emit any sounds right? I really liked this extension but sound alert really helps if for some reason no are not on Firefox, you could use some beeps like in https://tomato-timer.com/

You can enable a "Notification sound" by going into:

about:addons > Tomato Clock > ... > Preferences > Check "Notification sound"

Great, didn't see that. Thanks @samueljun .

I would like to help with this if this is still wanted/active. I think it might be easier to add 3-4 sounds which users can select instead of allowing user to select one from their environment? Not sure if the latter is possible at all.

I would like to put in a word for this feature. For example a would like to simply add my own bowl bell sound in action or even have a wide range of "ringtones" if I'm up for a change

For information: There are other Firefox like Pomodoro Clock that allow users to pick one of their own files as notification sound in the add-on settings.

I still like Tomato Clock for its reliability and clean interface - thank you for this add-on! 🍅
