@JonasKs's answer looks good. More generally, this is not really an arq specific question, just an issue of how to run coroutines.
I'll try to get to this and #39 soon as well as fixing deps and pinning them.
That sounds weird, redis already knows about the job obviously. PR welcome to fix this. If you can't work out how to fix this, could you create a minimal example...

Yes I think so the aws4 Auth is tested against aws on commits to master. I'll look in detail on Monday.

I don't think it's possible, notify (the underlying rust crate) doesn't AFAIK have an API for this, and I imagine that's because the OS frameworks for filesystem notifications don't allow...
